The Scottish Schools Athletics Championships are hosted each year by the Scottish Schools Athletics Association (SSAA) and the competition differs in that athletes represent their schools instead of their Club.
The Shetland contingent is organised by the Club, in line with the standards set by the SSAA. These standards can be viewed through this link.
In the past, Shetland has had multiple medalists at the Scottish Schools events and this has led to multiple Scotland vests for athletes in the B age category, representing their country in the Schools International competition and UK School Games.
